A Second Chances Exclusive
Recently, I got the opportunity to ask the lovely and talented Alison Sweeney if she would answer a few questions for her loyal fans at Second Chances. Here is her response...
You must know how much I love you all at Second Chances. Bryan and I both appreciate having such awesome fans. It's cool seeing the storyline from your perspective ... Anyway, that said, I'm happy to answer your questions:
1. You have such a passion for acting. If acting was suddenly outlawed, what career would you choose, and why?
Given the education I've received from 'Sami', I'd probably first figure out a way to get around the law and act anyway. But, really, if I couldn't act, I'd perhaps try behind the camera... I love a challenge, and I can't imagine anything more challenging that directing a cast & crew... aiming everyone towards your vision for a play, movie or T.V. show.
2. What do you enjoy most about being an actress?
Especially with a character like Sami, I love the opportunity to escape from reality. To embrace this other person, and really bring her to life. The toughest scenes are often the silly, embarrassing ones, but that's when I say, "jump in with both feet", "just do it". And that's why I always have fun with my job... and probably why people love to hate Sami - somewhere, subconsciously, they can tell I love what I'm doing!
3. Sami's seen more of life and been in more adventures than most people can ever imagine. What is something that Sami hasn't done that you'd like to see happen?
Well, you know the answer to that one. I'd like Sami to find true love. Interestingly enough, that's one thing I've never played through 10 years on this show. If they wrote a 'love story' with Sami & Lucas (no spoiler, just hypothetically), I can't imagine how Sami would cope with genuinely being loved by someone who really knows her!
4. A big Hollywood producer calls and raves about your work. He wants to star you in the remake of any movie you choose. Which movie would you pick? Which role would you play? Why?
That's a tough question... Perhaps I'll go with the choice you all at Second Chances made for me - Scarlett in Gone With The Wind. One of my all time favorite books, movies and strong female characters. "Fidle-dee-dee, tomorrow is another day." I'm practicing already.
5. What is something your fans would be surprised to learn about you?
I don't know, what do you already know about me? Well, the latest is that my husband is teaching me to fly. Airplanes, that is. He's been a pilot for 15 years, and thought it would be good for me to learn since we fly so much... it's a lot tougher than I thought, but I'm starting to get it.
Thank you so much, Ali!
