Lumi fans have gotten Lucas back before, but that was a much different climate. Bryan is the latest in a long string of long term vets shoved out the door, led by Dee & Drake and Stephen & Mary Beth. And now Ali Sweeney's lead man is undoubtedly Galen G. |

cant we do the same as the Drake fans did?? they made him come back right?? and then did he lose his memory and lived in the dimera mansion,and they did Marlena made him remember everything and they got married and leaved together..we have to do the same for Bryan.... |

Do we really want to fight to bring him back to this crappy show though? We fought in 2007. We fought in 2008. I'm tired of fighting. Bry deserves better. WE deserve better. TIIC have thrown away Bry and all Lucas/LUMI fans. I'm willing to let go, move on and let karma wreak havoc.

While I suppose all things are possible... it's hard to see the point of convincing them to keep Bryan/Lucas on when they're clearly not willing to write for him. With these TPTB in charge, I'm inclined to think Bryan is better off free to find something better. But that could just be my apathy speaking. Yes, for any spies reading this: That line about how the opposite of love isn't hate, it's apathy? You've achieved it. I'm completely apathetic towards the current parody that calls itself Days. The only bright spot was my Lucas, and with him gone.... |

Ditto. Congrats, Days. In 2000, Bryan was fired and I was bitter, crushed, and furious. Now, I feel vaguely relieved. And a little hopeful that this will spur Felicia into posting a new fic chapter or two.  But mostly indifferent.

I've been pretty apathetic to this show for a while. This just does it for me. TPTB are pushing Sami into reduculous pairing and they know as long as Lucas is around fans will fight it. Lucas ain't around. Neither am I. Edited by CJStake, Monday Dec 21 2009, 03:49 PM.

It's up to you. There was a petition in 2007. It kept him on the show, but we know what happened. Hindsight being 20/20, I wish we'd let them kill him off like they planned. |

This is sad news, but I'm also excited for Bryan. He now has the chance to explore new opportunities and find something bigger and much better than Days. I'm sure we'll see him on our screens again in the not-too-distant future. As for Days, it's been dead to me for almost 3 years now. Hope they're happy with Sami and Rafe, who are as exciting as watching paint dry. I caught a few minutes today- I was wrapping presents and didn't get up to change the channel after the noon news. Needless to say I was not impressed. |

I know in reality...if he would have been killed in the freezer truck back then...then he might have come back right before Sami slept with her rapist and the story would have been oh sooo different. Something tells me, I'm just going to let this be....I actually think he deserves something better and I dont' think Days is willing to give him that with the current writing team.....plus they flat out lied to him and his fans...that isn't good. Actually someone on another thread mentioned that GH is casting for a man in his early to mid thirties for a role as a Cassadine characters coming up! I was dreading this for a while but still trying to remain optimistic because we have seen so many things change so quickly over the years that I thought there might still be hope that TPTB would come to their senses and realize how much the show truly needs Lucas.... but, now that it has happened... I feel much more relieved this time than I thought I would. I think a lot of it has to do with BD's recent comments that made me realize how frustrated he has been and he doesn't deserve to be unhappy in his career just because I wanted a better outcome for Lumi. Sami is ruined, all of the other characters I grew to love are gone, so Lucas was the only reason I was still trying to hang in... if he's gone too, then I don't have to bother anymore. |

Thanks for the heads up I was actually going to continue watching the show until I heard this. I just turned off my DVR and I won't be watching the show until Bryan is brought back. I check in from time to time. So sad that such a great actor and vet is let go again for more Passions actors. Bye bye |

Whether or not Days kills Lucas off (it seems like not, damn it), we need to throw some kind of Lucas/Lumi/Lumily wake in February to celebrate the years of Lumi we did get. |

Like I said I'll check in from time to time and if there is a petition I'll sign it. But again I stopped watching the show today once I heard the news. Heck if everyone stopped watching today than the show will sink even faster. And they'll know they made the wrong decision. |
