As Ali said back when she used to like us, the fans brought Lumi together. Thanks Lumi fans! Thanks Ali for the good old Days. Thanks Bry Bry. (OK, one little Days-related question. Allie "calls Syndey her baby?" How did that happen? Allie stood by Sydney's playpen for 30 seconds last Thanksgiving and was told that that was her sister before she was rushed from the room to watch a movie. Nicole kidnapped Sydney almost immediately after.) |

I wondered the same thing. My theory is that in the brief moments that Sami spends with Allie all she does is sit there and show the poor little girl Sydney's picture over and over saying "She's our baby." |

I'm glad that you all can be happy to be free, I really am, and wish I could be, but honestly having watched this show since I was 8 years old, I really feel like crying. It just makes me really sad. Such an overwhelming disappointment.  Bryan said it was like a graduation, not a funeral, but you know, I was sad at graduation too. |

Lol...I remember one time I had a day of work and was home cleaning. Days was on and I had the vacuum going and all I remember is someone (maybe Nicole) putting Syd in Ej's arms and the baby was happily smiling with AZ and the minute she got to JS' arms she started balling.....I couldn't stop laughing. Today is painful in so many ways..It's the end of everything we invested in for about 17 years...Damn that is a freakin long time....we were steadfast even when the own actors told us that it didn't look like it would ever happen..there we were hoping beyond hope that someday TPTB would see what we saw. Then Bry was let go and our hopes were dashed a bit but then low and behold he was back and man Lucas was looking good...and within a few months all heck broke lose, pigs started flying and hell officially was freezing over as we saw the first glimmer of hope that Lucas and Sami would put aside all the hate toward each other and finally dive in...and boy did they dive...head first in the deep end without looking back. We had a great run, we'll still be around looking for whatever good news Bryan brings out way...but Days ended for most of us a long time before today and a long time even before December 18 when Bryan last left the Days set. Something fishy will be going on in Salem in the next few years (I'm being optimistic) without Lucas and we all know one thing....if there was ever a time to keep him around it was now right...when Sami would have needed her trusting friend, her confident and the only man who can probably talk sense into Sami when she was going away.... like Sami once told Lucas......"there are no good things without you Lucas"...boy was she right...the minute Lucas went to jail her life has been a living hell and it continues to be that way and it doesn't look like it will get any better any time soon....sure she'll get her kid back but when she finds out what the father of that child did to her and everyone around her including Sydney she will be even more miserable to realize that she has 2 kids with that monster. Hoping Nicole turns out to be Syd's real mommy....at least Nicole loved her and didn't go out of her way to make sure her labido was satisfied. Edited by luvinglumi, Thursday Feb 18 2010, 04:20 PM.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm sad that it had to come to this, and I will miss what it was once upon a time, but I won't miss what it has become. Watching it be decimated over the past couple of years gave me more tears than not watching it now will. |

I understand. I guess I am just still in a sort of grieving stage, and I will get over it, of course, and eventually get to the point you all are at, but for right now I still sort of feel like I'm watching an old friend die and I have to walk away before the final breath.  I don't know ... it just sucks. I always thought Days would be on forever, and I would watch it with my daughter when she got older the way I watched it with my mom for all these years. There is a lot of sentimentality involved I guess. Have to let that go now ... |

I understand. The news was a huge shock to some. I'd been expecting it through most of 2009, and I know that a few others had been as well. I remember being at the Greenville event last year and thinking "this is the last time I'll be here for this, and most likely the last time for Bry too." (which of course made me even angrier at the JackasS for his behavior). So some of us are a lot farther along in the grieving process than others. And contrary to what some think, there is no straightline path for grieving. Yes there are stages, but speaking from personal experience, you can flip between the stages many, many, many times along the way. |

I know what you mean about stages of grieving....when you first announced it that Dec. 21 here I was frankly shocked...simply because although a lot of things were pointing to what we know now was the inevitable I thought that him being back at work an entire week just weeks before the announcement was a turning point...we had heard the rumor about Maggie falling off the wagon, he was promised a storyline and I thought that was the time it would start. I was very sad when I read the news, then my sadness turned to bitterness very quickly when we found out he wasn't getting an exit story, that Ali "didn't know" and TPTB basically didn't care about BD or Lucas or his fans. Then I read that blurb about him NEVER coming back and the recasting if needed in the future and that made me sad again as I always hoped that someday, maybe not now obviously but maybe when Days finally closes it's chapter he would be back and sorta steal Sami ala Bo stealing Hope on his scooter from her wedding......I've been bitter ever since but now I'm sorta sad again...today's scenes were heartwrenching to watch really. I loved that Sami called Lucas but then I thought the "next" time she calls him will likely be when we all find out where he is and that will be the last time we ever hear about him except for dialogue here or there....and that simply sucks... |

Ok I had this all typed out once before but apparently it got erased before I could post this try this one more time Ok, I have been a fan of Days for 20 years and never have I been s irritated with this show. Ok we hope and wait for a LUMI reunion we watch these two characters grow and we get a lousy five minutes WTH are you kidding me??? This show seriously has gone down the toliet what happened??? They have reduced Sami to this whiney blubbering fool, what happened to the old Sami that never gave up and was always up for a fight? The writters really need to pull their heads out their hinneys our they are going to lose alot of viewers. I used to think Days was worth watching now not so much. OK what in the Queens name is wrong with EJ ok let's punish Sami for something that was beyond her control she didn't know that freak show Nicole had stole Sydney. Grace was not even EJ's? EJ infurriates me to no end when he first came to the show I thought that he may have some redeemng qualities but after this whole Sydney ordeal ya that thought floated out the window much like this show has. Ok,now on to something that has totally irked me even more is the fact that they have runied Bo and Hope. They have turned Bo into some kind of cheating slimeball and Hope is this whiney poor me woman what happend to the strong loving caring Hope. Oh ya she left right about the same time Sami did. OK enough of my mini rant here I know I have tons more to say but the more I talk about this show the more infurriated I get I know it is only a show but you think that after 17 years they would give us more than just a five min hug. But on an upside atleast they did a little dedication to Mrs.Reid at the end that was nice although they could have done more but they tried. Ok well that is all for now |

I was sad for a month after it was announced he was fired. But I'm slowly getting past it. I thought I would watch forever but now I don't want to waste my time on this crap. The show seriously is not good. I don't know what AS is smoking. |
