But its not true in the least. Perfect example in today's episode when he is trying to make excuses for why he kidnapped Sydney and said that Sami should know better than anyone what its like to hurt your family and she should forgive him because they have forgiven her. First things first HE IS NOT FAMILY. So she don't have to forgive $hit. Second that doesn't sound like someone that accepts Sami for who she is because they wouldn't bring up her past misdeeds to justify their own evil doings. What a jerk. I agree! That's a bunch of crap. The person who has been with him is not the person she is. She's an impostor, he doesn't know the real Sami. Lucas knew the real Sami and loved her anyway. They did bad things to each other and fell in love in spite of them, knowing all about the other's misdeeds. Neither of them had to pretend to be someone they weren't to get the other to love them. Whenever Sami sees the good, sweet Ej it's always an act.

Lumi Masters Posts: 4,332 Group: All Access Lumi Member #133 Joined: March 24, 2006	As I watching this I thought the same thing he doesn't love her and wanted to hurt her and he got off on her pain and put her through ** and enjoyed every minute of it and his lines were all a put on act he lives to hurt Sami and he knows it and he liked doing it and what was spewing out of his mouth was pure crap plain and simple and more lies. I am glad Sami sees that now and doesn't trust him and doesn't believe a word he says any longer and glad she laid into him and threw the ring in his face and went off on both him and stefano. She was ready to explode and lunge at both of them and I love how Sami told him the real truth about what she truly felt that she wanted Rafe to stop the wedding and told she wants Rafe and went to see him right away and wanted to be with him. When Stefano said shes not taking kids practically hinting he would kill her and Rafe said he would kill Stefano and could arrange to walk out of here with the kids over his dead body did you see the look on Sami's face she lit up and loved seeing the Dimeras helpless for once with Rafe's words. Is Sami going to be on the revenge kick from now on to destroy the Dimeras once and for all for good this time and not stop untill she does where she puts them out of commision for good this time making them wish they were dead fearing her never wanting to mess with her or her family ever again you bet she is that look and gleam in her eye said it all. Sami sees the Dimeras as her enemy for good now and shes got a detemined look in her eyes says that shes going to destroy the Dimeras for good this time and not stop untill she does. If I were the Dimeras I would fear Sami that look on her face when she was beaming said it all. Shes going to destroy them and not stop untill she does and finally live her life in peace with her family no more torture or torment or hurting people in her family any longer from the Dimeras any longer for shes going to see to it and make sure that they never do it again and won't stop untill she destroys them and puts them out of commision for good this time. If it were deserved, we would call it something else. The other thing that EJ still doesn't understand is that no one forgave Sami until after she stopped hurting them. EJ has never stopped hurting Sami. Unlike EJ, Sami really did change and even then it wasn't like she got automatic forgiveness. It took time to rebuild trust with those she had harmed.

And of course even when the people Sami hurt started forgiving her it wasn't a complete forgiveness, they were always wary of her actions. As for the line that the rapist is the ONLY one who truly knows Sami and accepts her for what she is...bullhoey. The rapist wants Sami to fit in his image of her. The problem being that she's changed and that's not her anymore.

I know it was because Ali is very light skinned, but for a second or two, there were finger impressions on her arms. Given their history, it was unsettling.

They can try as hard as they want to wipe it out and act like it didn't happen but as a viewer I KNOW what I saw. I SAW him RAPE Sami, I SAW him push her in front of the forklift, I SAW him offer her and her unborn babies up to Stefano for stem cells, I SAW him torture Patch, I SAW him lock Lucas in the freezer truck and those are only a few of the things I SAW him do. Yes I have always wanted Lumi but the reason why I have been against a rapemi pairing is not solely due to my preference for Lumi and moreso because of the things I SAW the rapist do.

EJ has repeatedly been tied to scenes that elicited very strong negative emotions from the audience. It's the pavlovian effect, EJ has so consistently behaved in ways that made viewers feel tense, angry, repulsed, etc. that now just the sight of the character is enough to bring on those emotions regardless of the scene. That is what no amount of history rewrites, insta-redemptions, spin, PR, pimping, etc. can ever change. Advertisers and politicians alike understand that once the audience connects a product, buzz word, etc. to an emotion there is very little chance of every breaking that connection. That is why even Stefano is more tolerable to watch. Sure he's got a long list of bad deeds but they didn't have the same emotional impact on the audience. Personally, I think it is because of the nature of Stefano's acts versus EJ's. If you think about the fact that Stefano stole years of people's lives from them, those acts are every bit as cruel and evil as EJ's but we didn't see Tony's 20 year plight on the island play out in front of us. Many of Stefano's worst deeds happened offscreen and we just heard about them. We watched EJ rape Sami; we saw how terrified she was, we saw her tears, we saw his sneer, his laughter and heard him gloating. We saw EJ throat slam her against a wall, pushed her to the floor, numerous scenes of him grabbing her arm or neck, and watching her fearful expressions, rubbing her arm or neck afterwards, etc. I'm not saying it never happened, but for the life of me I do not remember Stefano or even Andre doing anything so violent to a female character.

Lumi Masters Posts: 4,332 Group: All Access Lumi Member #133 Joined: March 24, 2006	Yes Sami and the irrelevant one's history is very ugly and very unsettling and downright disturbing and I am truly glad the show didn't go there and have her be married to him again why because for one he has acted like an abusive jerk towards almost all the women in Salem and doesn't know how to control his temper,three he has has manhandled Sami,Kate,Nicole and had them all by the throat before,grabbed them by the arms roughly and grabed Sami by the back of her neck in a rough manner and ushered her roughly into a room before which was really disturbing then and third he killed another woman in cold blood, forth I would have truly feared for Sami that she might have wound up being in the battered wife's column which is not where Sami belongs. Fifth the fact that he raped should be enough to put a stop to this right then and there. The show should have had Sami press charges against him then and should have had her get help then an go into counciling and should have thrown the book at him then when he commited the crime then serving him with a life sentence in prison never to get out again it would of saved a lot of trouble then for the show should have punished him from the get go once this started. When he beat Partrick with a belt that was too much and I feared what he would have done the same thing to Sami his rage and anger are a problem and he doesn't know how to control them I feared if the show had gone there Sami would have wound up in the Kate and Curtis catagory or Kate and Curtis column because he just can't control his temper and he has this rage inside him so much rage he could of wound up killing them. I have a feeling thats what happened with Eve Michaels when he killed her. I fear he would have beat her,still roughly manhandled her,possibly raped her again,or possibly killed her where she could of wound of being a casualty at his hands again thats a very sensitive topic that the show should not attempt to touch and would have needed to handle with great care. I truly hope the show is done with this nonpairing for good this time and that they don't go there again Too much violence and hatred towards women in it with a realy ugly history there. I am so glad the show is not going there and not letting Sami wind up in that column being a casualty and am truly glad that the show is going in a different direction instead having Sami being a survivor and being smart enough to not allow herself to get stuck in a situation like this ever again. So what they have her doing next week shows just how much of a survivor she really is. Shes not going to fall in that column and is no longer going to be his victim and is no longer going to be living under his thumb living in fear of him any longer for shes doing what she should have done all along years ago which is why I am glad the show is having Sami finally do what she should have done all along next week by taking a stand. I have a feeling Sami is going to come out on top in this in the end and be just fine shes a survivor and shes strong and shes finally taking the actions she should have years ago against her attacker.The show is going to have Sami come out on top in this and be just fine. The next step for Sami is to get the help she needs for shes desperately needed to get into counciling for a while now. The show needs to do a couple of more things in telling this story responsibly first they need to not have Johnny be the product of a violent crime against women by the criminal who commited it in the first place and they need to wind up making him Lucas son instead,second they can have Sydney be Lucas as well or have her be Nicoles and if shes Nicole's Nicole needs to raise Sydney on her own and not let the jerk and the suposed father of her near her or Sydney and Nicole needs to be packing a gun for her safety and her daughters safety as well and for protection not letting this abusive jerk who has abused her too near her or her daughter. Nicole needs to be given full custody of Sydney when she goes to court.Nicole needs to tell her side of the story about how he got rough with her and where he winded up manhandling her as well no judge in the world would award custody to anyone who got rough with the childs mother who lost their temper on the child's mother that way and third Nicole should tell her story about how she and Sydney were thrown out on the street left to fend for themselves without anything and again no judge would find that acceptable that Sydney was thrown out with Nicole on the street calling her That and telling Nicole to take that with her thats child endangerment and child abandonment right there and he gave up his rights to Sydney when he threw her and Nicole out on the street no judge in the world would find that acceptable and would force him to paychild support to Nicole and would give Nicole fully custody of her daughter stripping him completely of his visitation rights to see her and with this latest stunt with the Sydnapping this would also go against him as well. The judge would also grant Nicole a restraining order that spacificly says that if he came around and near Sydney or Nicole he would be arrested on sight and put in jail for disobeying the court order granted by the judge. Third they need to truly punish him for all of his crimes that were left and went unpunished for the last four to five years that he never went to jail for or never felt remorse for doing. Last but not least if they don't send him to prison with a life sentence where he winds behind bars staying their for the rest of his life then they truly need to kill the character off permenantly for good this time then for not punishing him at all for all the rotten things hes done to almost all of Salem its truly ridiculous not to punish him at all for all his crimes. For the show needs to takes responsibility and say that the perpetraitor of the crime or crimes without a concience either does wind up being killed off for good or winds up having bad Karma or bad luck constantly following them around punishing them nonstop not leaving them alone with nothing left in the wake of it when their being punished. I actually took my tape recorder and recorded the audio so I could listen to it until I can get the episodes on my computer. Stupid Youtube isn't working right now so I can't use Keepvid to grab the videos. (At least not on my computer). But it was a perfect episode. No sympathy for ykw and Sami Gene is finally back!!!!
